Our workplace hearing tests help businesses meet Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) compliance requirements while protecting workers from long-term hearing damage in noisy environments. Whether you need pre-employment hearing checks, routine assessments, or testing for high-risk industries, FitTick provides expert audiometric testing that identifies hearing risks early, tracks hearing health over time, and supports a safer, healthier workforce – wherever and whenever you need us.

What is Audiometric Testing?

Audiometric testing is a critical health and safety assessment designed to monitor and protect workers exposed to hazardous noise levels in the workplace.

It is legislated for employees regularly exposed to noise levels above 85 decibels – equivalent to a heavy truck idling one metre away – over an 8-hour shift or short bursts of loud noise, such as from machinery or tools.

FitTick provides accurate workplace hearing tests in a controlled environment – using our mobile noise-cancelling booth or a quiet testing area on-site. This ensures precise results without external interference.

With FitTick’s audiometric testing, your business can proactively monitor employee hearing health and remain compliant with Australian OH&S legislation.

Why is Audiometric Testing Important?

Australian Standards Compliance

Under Australian Standards, audiometric testing is required within 3 months of a worker commencing in a noise-affected role and then at least every 2 years thereafter. FitTick ensures your business stays compliant with timely, reliable testing services.

Pre-Employment Checks

We provide pre-employment audiometric testing to establish a hearing baseline for new employees, helping you manage risk from day one.

Duty of Care & Risk Prevention

Regular hearing tests help detect early signs of hearing loss - enabling you to implement protective measures such as PPE (Hearing Protection Equipment) and support long-term workforce health.

Flexible Audiometric Testing Options
Australia-Wide

In-house

We offer In-house testing at our office in Adelaide, South Australia.

Mobile Testing Booth

Please provide a suitable parking area for our mobile testing booth. While the testing environment is controlled, high dust levels such as from nearby manufacturing plants can impact test accuracy.

Mobile Pop-Up

Onsite

For onsite testing, we require a lockable room or office (approx. 20sqm) in a quiet, clean area with at least two power points, a table, and two chairs. Avoid offices near dust or airborne contaminants, as they can affect test results.

Offsite

We’ll set up a testing facility close to your worksite or in a convenient location for your workforce (e.g. CBD). Please ensure employees are informed that the test will be conducted offsite.
